Welcome Point Pavilion

Welcome Point Pavilion

Self Build Project with Newcastle University

Kielder, Northumberland

Completed 2017

The project was designed with peers from the architecture course at Newcastle University. We then led a group of Newcastle University students in constructing the Welcome Point pavilion. Welcome Point pavilion is the first point of information within the new Bakethin masterplan. It incorporates information regarding the Bakethin side of the reservoir, local landmarks and highlights walking routes around the area. The information panels will also highlight the location of new wildlife hide, built the previous summer as well as information about hygromorphic panels, which may be later incorporated into the wildlife hide.
